Nov 18th Update
Mini League Recreational Robotics Competition – Completed
Falkon hosted its first Mini League on Nov 17th. It provided an amazing experience to the kids competing in this friendly atmosphere. The main aim of the competition is for the kids to understand how the game works. And how to strategize and score. Learn by observing other robot designs, so they can redesign theirs for the next competition. Also, note that we had teams that are 4th grade to 8th grade. Few kids are doing robotics for 2nd year. So it’s not a fair comparison.
The volunteers who have helped make this program a success cannot be understated. We had help from an army of volunteers – High School Kids, Competitive team kids, Coaches, and Parents. – A big thank you to you all. Volunteering is a big part of the Falkon Academy program. All middle school kids and high school kids can get accredited volunteer hours which can be a big value for college admissions.
