Happy Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving, we are thankful for every family who has participated in a Falkon program. You are a part of our family, and we appreciate you!

Activities for Thanksgiving break

Continue to work on your robot. But if you have extra time, there are so many other VEX IQ Challenges to participate in besides robotics competitions and win some prize money. Please check out the challenges here.

We will spend some time discussing this in the classroom. But we will not have much time do any of them in the classroom. So teams are encouraged to meet at home and work on them.

Coding Projects

Here is another VEX activity for free time. You can practice coding with out real robot. Use the following website to program and test a virtual robot. You can try out different playgrounds, and program your robot to do different activities.

Saturday Class Schedule

We are changing the plans for Saturday programs. Going forward all the V5 teams will be meeting on Saturdays at Folsom Middle School
This enables the teams to do scrimmages against other V5 teams.

November 19th: (Saturday)
Folsom Middle School: 8:30 am to 12:30noon (All V5 Teams from FMS and MV)
Marina Village Middle School: 1 pm to 5 pm
December 10th: (Saturday)
Folsom Middle School: 8:30 am to 12:30noon (All V5 Teams from FMS and MV)
Marina Village Middle School: 1 pm to 5 pm
Christmas Break/Thanksgiving Break
Currently, there is no schedule for Christmas break and Thanksgiving break. We recommend the teams to meet at their home to continue to build when possible.

Team Logo Design

We are working on getting T-shirts for the teams. Teams, work on a art-work/logo for your teams and submit by end of the week, so we can order T-shirts
